Plitvice and Rastoke in One Day from Zagreb: Which Tour Is Worth It?
Updated October 20, 2026 · 5 min read
For most people, the Plitvice Lakes and Rastoke guided day trip with ticket is the safe pick. It is the most reviewed Zagreb tour in our listings, 3,954 reviews at 4.9, and costs €74.25 per person. Two others are worth knowing: one adds a boat ride and a choice of vehicle, one is cheaper but leaves the ticket question open.

What the ticket actually covers
The first thing to settle is whether the park ticket is in the price. Four of the six titles say so. The two cheapest do not say it in the title: the listing for the Rastoke and Plitvice day trip mentions neither ticket nor boat, and the watermill village tour says the operator takes care of reserved ticket access. That may well mean the ticket is included, but the listings do not state it. The gap between the cheapest tour and the dearest is under €18, less than half of a summer park ticket, so a missing ticket changes the maths.
The park publishes a 2026 adult day ticket of €40 from June to September, €23 in April, May and October, and €10 from November to March. So in summer, a tour without the ticket can look cheaper by about as much as the ticket costs. Open the booking page and look for the word “included” before you compare prices.
How much of the day is left for the lakes
Every tour here is a 9 to 10 hour day, and part of it is the road. The scheduled coach takes about 1 hour 50 minutes each way, which puts the drive at nearly four hours of the day. What remains for the park, Rastoke and lunch is a bit over five hours, at most six. That is enough to walk a route through the lakes, not enough to do everything.
The tours are not identical inside that window. Two include a boat ride on the lake, and one of them adds a hike. If a longer walk matters to you, those are the ones to look at; the booking page states the exact route and the time you get.
Rastoke is a short stop, not a destination
Rastoke is a village of old watermills and small waterfalls, reached on the way to or from the park. All six tours in the table include the stop. Treat it as a short walk and a photo break, not as a second attraction.
Big coach or small group?
Only the tour with the boat ride offers the choice between a coach and a small-group van in its description. The booking page shows what each option costs on your date, so compare the two before you pick.

Our choice
Book the most reviewed tour unless you have a reason to deviate. If the boat ride matters, take the one that names it. If you are working to a budget, ask first whether the ticket is in the price; a “cheaper” tour that does not include it is not cheaper.
